If you are visiting this site it is probably because you bumped into us one afternoon in Auckland and you may have some further questions you want to ask us.
So what does it all mean? What is the purpose of it all? Is there even any purpose to life? While many might scoff at these questions it is important that we get their answers right. While we might not like to admit it, all of us live according to some statement of faith. Broadly speaking you will probably fall into one of the following:
- There is a higher power -> There is a God
- We don't know
- There is no higher power -> There is no God
The first and last statements are each statements of faith i.e. statements that cannot be proved based on a traditional, empirical scientific approach. The way that you live or experience life will be governed by one of these statements.
The purpose of this website is not to pressure you into believing a certain creed or into living a certain way but rather to ask you delve a little deeper into these questions, and the commonly held views about the purpose and meaning of life.
As followers of Christ we believe our lives have eternal meaning and purpose. Further we see nothing in creation that contradicts science, rather we see everything working together in perfect harmony as intended by God. This meaning and purpose allows us to know a peace that transcends all that this life might throw at us.
If a statement of faith is going to direct our lives we should invest some time into making sure that we have chosen the correct one. Our hope is that this site might help you down this path.
